Okay firstly, I'm now a part of Pengmas BEM FTUI. You might be ask how I ended up here or so, but I actually didnt know myself -__- Anyhow, I fell in love in this new field. It feels great knowing myself can actually do more to help others, in many ways. And surrounding by people who have same vision makes it even greater.
So here, I'm going to tell what I've been doing in these first three months being in Pengmas. I dont mean to brag it about, I just hope it actually inspires you that helping people is simple. I might be not a good writer but I try so............
Well, fyi Pengmas has 6 main programs to do, they are Kersos, Aksioma, Beasiswa Teknik Peduli, Sekolah Relawan Teknik, Desa Binaan, and Blog Pengmas (which is me is the admin of it). I told about Kersos back then in my Zuperexciting June post. You cud say Aksioma is mini Kersos. Beasiswa Teknik Peduli is a scholarship that we provide for students who has financial issues. Blog Pengmas is an archiving. And Sekolah Relawan Teknik is what I want to tell you more about in this post ;))
As you can guess, Sekolah Relawan Teknik is a kinda volunteer training. This event held in two days, when at day1 we gave a seminar about "The Potency of Disaster and Technology Solver" and at day2 we gave a water rescue training!!
I learned so much things that I usually watch on my tv screen. We filled up the inflatable boat, rowing excercise, rescue simulation (both with victims and self rescue). I personally had so much fun today.
The best thing is of course self rescue simulation :DD First, we rowed the boat until the mid of the lake, then we turned it upside down so that all of us fell into the water. I was floated here and there while swimming like an idiot after like ages havent done that hehehe. After that we struggled to get back on the boat and rowed back to the edge. And my energy was like drained -____-" but still, it's guuhhreaatt.
I cudnt show you the pictures, so maybe later. The thing is, after I attended this training, I realize that I now have another way. And this is the highlight, to help others, money isnt always the main matter, because each every one of you have your own benefit for others in your own way. So, never hesitate to give, because even not in an exact shape, you will take what you've given.
